Today we present you the youngest son of GGUT, the Gletscherwelt Trail 30 k. GletscherweltTrail leads through the last part of the GGUT 110. We start in 2315 m at the picturesque Weissee in the middle of a fascinating world of Glaciers. After one short climb at the beginning, we head downhill towards the towards Tauernmoos reservoir.

From their climbing through the Rifflkar along the Rifflkess glaciers where we cross Kapruner Törl (2639 m), the roof of Gletscherwelt Trail. Then downhill and flat along the reservoir Mooserboden, crossing its gigantic dams, to the supply

station at Kapruner Hochgebirgsstauseen. From there downhill and then flat to the finish in Kaprun. We run along 3 glacieres, aprox 300 peaks with more than 3000 m around.

GWT has "only" 1000 m positive altitude climb, due to the start in 2315 m the race offers more than 2000 m downhill, mostly on single trails. In between are also rather flat and easily runnable trails. Although GWT is no walk, trail

rookies with some mountain experience will also enjoy it.

You can reach the start with your own car or by bus leaving at 05.30 from Kaprun (€ 8, book tickets together with your registration at DATASPORT or in GGUT webshop) to ground station cable car Weissee Gletscherwelt. From there free transport for runners (show your bib) with the cable car to Rudolfshütte (vouchers for reduced tickets for friends and family are in your starter bag).
