From July 21 to 23, 2017 Austria's highest mountain, the Grossglockner (3.798 m), is "the" place to be for trail runners and friends of mountain sports. DYNAFIT, Zell am See-Kaprun, Kals am Grossglockner und Uttendorf are happy to welcome more than 1000 runners from more than 40 nations at the 3rd edition of Grossglockner ULTRA-TRAIL®.
Our key priorities for 2017 will be
- keeping proven elements and improvement on details (thank you for the tremendous feed-back after the last edition)
- extension of service, quality and variety at the supply stations and
- specific focus on the service of the not so fast runners.
Below are the most important news and information before the registration, all information is already updated on this website. Registration starts on November 23, 15.00.
4 Competitions: tracks and program
The tracks and the program for the 4 races remain more or less unchanged. For GGUT 110 here are the following slight amendments:
- Start of GGUT 110 has been preponed 1 hour, to Friday, 23.00
- In Kals the track has been eased a bit. "Pfortscharte" (2.838 m) remains the roof of the tour, but from there to Kals the track has been eased a bit: There is no climb to Stüdlhütte, but a new hotspot at the refreshment post at Lucknerhaus, ideal for spectators, your friends and family to support you.
- The overall time limit has been extended to 31 hours.
GGT 50 und GWT 30 remain unchanged, but intermediate time limits have been withdrawn and the overall time limits have been extended.
Finishers will receive the following ITRA/UTMB qualification points:
- GGUT 110: 5 ITRA/UTMB points
- GGUT 110 I 2 (part 1): 4ITRA/UTMB points
- GGT 50 und GGUT 110 I 2 (part 2): 3 ITRA/UTMB points
- GWT 30: 2 ITRA/UTMB points
GGUT 110 is also a qualifying race for the Western States 100-mile Endurance Run (time under 28 hours).

The first 300 registrations on all races (overall) receive stylisch DYNAFIT arm warmers as a present (shop-price EUR 30, delivery March 2017). So get registered quickly.

GGUT Nutrition: The Flavour of the GGUT
GGUT is a race leading through various regions around the Grossglockner: Salzburger Pinzgau, Carinthia and East Tyrol -- and we invite you to taste it: Warm dishes, bread, cheese, sausage, bacon and cakes etc. will therefore vary a bit between the refreshment posts, providing typical products from the different regions at least at Glocknerhaus, Kals and Rudolfshütte. Thereby, we all contribute to sustainable regional development.
TIMING und LIVE-TRACKING
Timing will furthermore provided by Datasport. In cooperation with Datasport we offer GGUT-Live-Tracking as an additional service, without extra fees. For GGUT 110 and GGUT 110 I 2 runners are obliged to carry trackers provided at the bib distribution, for GGT 50 and GGT 30 Live-Tracking is done via your smartphone (link will be sent a few days prior to the start).
GGUT Trailrunning CAMP 30. Juni - 2. Juli 2017
Ready to check out the GGUT trails prior to the race? The GGUT trail running camp in Kaprun takes beginners and advanced runners from June 30 to July 2, 2017, on the trails of GGUT. Former GGUT winners will provide the guiding. Enjoy a nice weekend around Grossglockner, in combination with the testing of DYNAFIT products and a 4* accommodation at Kaprunerhof.
Participation is limited, so book quickly and make a perfect preparation for your start at one of the GGUT races ;-)
